On behalf of Mayor Edgar Claycamp, and the city council,
we want to thank you for visiting our site.  Our small community rests in the southeast corner of Nemaha County on Highway 9.

 

Wetmore is a small rural town of approximately 350 people.  Our economy is mainly agricultural related, but with Highway 75 only 5 miles away, we have a large number of residents commute to the city for work.

 

Even though we are a small town we are still close to the big city.  We are 15 minutes away from Holton and 20 minutes from Seneca, Sabetha or Hiawatha.  Topeka and Manhattan are only 1 hour away.  We have two major casinos in our area.  Sax and Fox Casino and Golden Eagle both are within a 20 - 30 minute drive.

 

We are also in close range to three major golf courses; Holton Country Club (Holton, KS), Spring Creek Golf Course (Seneca, KS), and Cool Springs (Onaga, KS).

 

Walk the town with us as you browse through this web site.  But most importantly, visit Wetmore and meet its people who know that it is not only a fine place to visit, but also a fine place to live.
